Coburn No Place for Foreign Law in U.S. Courts Speaking on the Senate floor today, Sen. Tom Coburn rejected the judicial philosophy that embraces the use of foreign law in interpreting the U.S. Constitution. Dr. Coburn also pointed out that while then-Judge Sotomayor agreed during her confirmation hearing that foreign law should not be consulted.
